Break.com is offering striking writers a chance to push their personal projects through the Break.com web portal. According to Comscore Media Metrix, the site received 2.2 million unique visitors in September, putting them in the number 1 spot for comedy on the web.

What do you get, if you're a striking writer? Well, first you'll have to be prepared for the WGA to come down on yous for breaking the strike line. The rules of the strike say that any digital work is a violation of the strike. The upside is that if you're the highest rated video, you'll get $5,000. The question strikers will have to ask themselves is if $5,000 is worth the risk.

The Hollywood Reporter says that agents are set with a digital strategy to grab striking writers to script original content. Insiders say that the WGA will most likely not crack down on digital outlets like YouTube and Yahoo, but will prohibit Myspace videos since the company is owned by News Corp.
