Break, Marks Prepare to Unleash "Vlog"

Break Media has teamed with Twisted Pictures, producers of the "Saw" movie franchise, for a full-length online feature horror film, "Vlog," starring Web blogger Brooke Marks.

Building up to Wednesday's release of the film on Break.com, Ms. Marks led an unannounced video buildup. In a series of 12 clips she discusses guys and dating. Videos showing the murders of some of the guys were found at an IP address introduced by an anonymous commenter on Ms. Marks' videos. The last clip in this mysterious series is the murder of Ms. Marks herself.

Break Media has added story elements on another of its Web properties, HolyTaco.com, which mentions Ms. Marks' death in a recent post.

"Vlog" will pick up where Ms. Marks stops, so to speak, and follow the investigation of these murders. To date the introductory clips have raked in 5 million views on Break.com.

The feature film will be rolled out in daily installments starting June 11 on Break.com, with a new clip introduced every weekday for four weeks. When complete, "Vlog" will run 71 minutes.
